So what happens to the F*ck Trudeau flags now?

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s resignation opens a number of voids, but none so wide as the one that freaks me out the most: where’s all the hate going to go?

As some of you know, once upon a time I produced conservative talk radio in Saskatchewan. My first year was easy - oppose Saskatchewan’s “left wing”. Take as many shots as possible at then-Premier Lorne Calvert and his government.

With guys like Murdoch Carriere fumbling around behind the scenes, it wasn’t hard.

In November 2007 Lorne Calvert and his NDP government were replaced by the conservative Sask Party. Stephen Harper was Canada’s Prime Minister at the time and also remained off limits for our fodder.

We were in a hell of a bind - we’d won. Suddenly, we had no enemies.

No bogeymen.

How were we going to make people mad so they’d keep listening? So they’d keep voting Sask Party?
