Keystone Kops: The Saskatchewan (Party's) Marshals, Part 1
Marshals with just one L, cause Scott Moe’s fantasies are all seemingly rooted in American failure.
In a vast geographical region with a tiny population of just over one million, the Sask Party’s obsession with expanding its militant power over you is disturbing.
It’s supposedly about public safety, yet living in Saskatchewan is downright dangerous under the Sask Party. At best, it’s a much lower quality of life.
You can’t get healthcare when you’re sick. You’re sick more, because you can’t get healthcare. Dying? You get even less consideration, particularly in an emergency. Your kids aren’t getting an adequate public school education. You can’t speak or act freely in the Canadian democratic sense, federally or provincially, for fear of repercussions from the Sask Party government and its vindictive proxies.
Scott Moe’s freedom today is likely, in my opinion, the byproduct of RCMP corruption in his hometown Shellbrook detachment. In what world do Saskatchewan voters believe Moe can or should control his own police force?
After causing the brutal highway collision that killed her, Scott Moe was never properly investigated by RCMP for Joann Balog’s horrific death. The accident itself was not investigated. Joann’s son Steve, who was in the car and witnessed the whole thing, including Moe’s grill smashing through his Mom’s driver’s side door at full-speed, was not even interviewed by RCMP.
There were no consequences for what Scott Moe did that morning; of course that experience altered his worldview. It defies rational thinking, logic and Canadian law that he only received a traffic ticket.
So yeah, the idea of manipulating police officers is already second-nature to our premier and now he’s the lead commander of a multi-million dollar armed force.
What could possibly go wrong?
