Okay fine, maybe suggesting the money went straight from one to another is a stretch.

In the Saskatchewan Legislature, an Order In Council (OC) is a decree, regulation, payment or other declaration dreamt up by Scott Moe and then signed off by his cabinet ministers; no Opposition or public scrutiny required. Once that process is complete, the OC is forwarded to the Lt Governor for his signature, which apparently he’ll even provide on a Saturday.

On October 6, 2022, everybody’s favorite Cabinet Minister, the super-likable Jeremy Harrison, or Weeman (as I’ve started calling him in a nod to my favorite show, Jackass) (yes, I appreciate that checks out - have you seen the Shark Week episodes? Best ever.) ordered $3-million tax dollars be donated to the Saskatchewan Roughriders for the team’s operations.

No, not just for the Grey Cup Festival.
