I’ve written and rewritten this piece so many times over the past few days.
Given the results of the US election, what I was finally going to publish on Saskatchewan once again rang hollow.
Felt weak.
Shortsighted.
Perhaps I was funneling my perspective on the provincial election results through the same myopic stance I detest; one that is solely Sask-centric. The reality is what happened in Saskatchewan last week is also reflective of a much broader issue across the Western world.
The political parties currently top of mind for most of us - Liberal, Conservative Party of Canada, Republican, Democrat, Sask NDP, Sask Party - are all exactly the same.
Voters have been insulted, but more importantly distracted by the outrageous theatrics of these parties and their elected puppets.
