Scott Moe's Personal Connection to Christian Schools
Which very likely explains some things about his attitude.
Bit of a break from normal routine, but this one kind of blew my mind and I want to share it with you right away.
A keen-eyed reader just sent me this, from the 1965 edition of the Full Gospel Bible Institute’s (FGBI) Burning Lamp yearbook. It’s located in Eston, Saskatchewan and still operational today as Eston College.
Yes, that’s our premier’s daddy.
In fact it seems a Christian school is what brought Mr. Moe to Saskatchewan in the first place, as he’s listed in the yearbook under his home address (don’t ask me, it was the sixties) in Vancouver, BC.
So it’s thanks to a Christian school in Saskatchewan that Scott Moe exists. Yaaaaaaaay us.
Why does it matter where Scott Moe’s dad went to school?
It matters because Saskatchewan people are looking for answers to explain Moe’s bizarre decisions and behaviour, neither of which is normal or appropriate for any leader of anything - make no mistake about that. Moe’s constant gaslighting of Saskatchewan residents is frustrating, dangerous and traumatic and we’re going to be dealing with the consequences of it for a very long time.
The more we understand the place where Moe’s ideology comes from, the more we can figure out how to combat it, at least for the sake of our own sanity. We know his background is checkered, to say the least - Saskatchewan elected him anyway, but it all matters because we need to do a hell of a lot better at choosing Saskatchewan’s next leaders.
Bottom line here is Scott Moe can no longer claim he has no connection to or bias towards private Christian schools.
They are literally in his blood.
Enjoy this freebie, share it far and wide.
Because the more you know, right? Somebody ought to make an After-Christian School Special. Talk later,
