Dear Todd,

I know right now your instinct is to deny, flail about, outraged, and/or get revenge.

Stop.

It’s over.

You won’t get anywhere. You are caught, unequivocally.

The only way you get out of this and keep your job is to admit what you did, genuinely apologize to me, your congregation and everyone else you’ve hurt with your behaviour over the years, then get the professional help you clearly need.

Plenty of people have endured immense loss, yet don’t turn to this kind of activity to cope with it. You have no excuse for the things you’ve said and done to and about other Saskatchewan people, especially women.

However, I do recognize there are likely significant mental health issues in play here. It’s so obvious to me how the losers who cheered you on from their own social media and radio platforms were exploiting your issues for their own perverse entertainment.

I have never met you. Your hatred for me is misdirected, irrational and not worth losing your job over. Nor are your so-called friends, who won’t be there for the personal and vocational hell you’re about to endure if don’t stop harassing other people.

I forgive you. Do what you need to do to get better. Seriously.
